Camp Courtesy......
Courtesy guidelines to fellow campers. We don’t strictly implement them. They are simply a code of ethics when it comes to bushcraft camps. below is a list of some of the clubs guidelines...

- When locating your sleeping area, be aware of potential hazards, like falling dead wood, badger sets etc.
- Try find a location that has already been cleared, so as to leave a minimum impact on the land.
- If you like your evenings to be quiet or you head to bed relatively early. Locating your sleeping area away from where others may be chatting would be a good idea, for example the camp fire or common area.
- A sleeping area could be considered personal space. Be considerate when entering someone else’s sleep area.
- The fire is a community area, if there is no fire, we create a community cooking area where we chat while cooking, no one is excluded from it.
- If someone is lighting a fire, allow them space. Offer your support and guidance if requested. If fire is needed quickly, what matters is what works
- If lighting a fire, have a reason for it, there is only one camp fire.
- If possible offer someone with less experience the opportunity to light the fire, as it may only be done once or twice
- Trial and error is often how people like to learn in the outdoors, leave them at it until they ask.
- There are so many ways to achieve the same result in the outdoors, be mindful that your way may not be the best.
- In the evenings, try not to blind everyone in the camp with your torch. Point it towards the ground or area of interest.
- Finally, Respect. Respect the environment you are working in.
- Respect those within that environment and respect yourself for being there.
